About
Where Engineering
Meets Medicine
I’m Janvi, a second-year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Sheffield. My passion lies at the intersection of computational biology and data science, particularly in the realm of genomics. From conducting independent computational studies on ovarian cancer prognostic gene sets to building machine learning audio classifiers for hearing aids, I thrive on projects that blend rigorous engineering with real-world biological impact.
Beyond the lab and the keyboard, I bring a strong drive for innovation and communication. Whether pitching a non-invasive menstrual blood biomarker screening disc at Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber, redesigning hip arthroplasty prosthetics to reduce infection rates below 2%, or collaborating on 3D-printed assistive technology for visually impaired individuals — I seek out challenges that push boundaries and create tangible value.
I am always on the lookout for research opportunities, collaborations, and projects that further my interests in genomics, embedded systems, and medical device engineering. Feel free to reach out!
